BELMONT, N.C./GREENSBORO, N.C. — The Belmont Abbey men's tennis team opened up its spring schedule with a pair of split-squad matches against Mars Hill and UNC Greensboro Thursday.
At home against Mars Hill, the Crusaders earned a 7-0 win over the Lions while the Spartans defeated The Abbey 7-0 in Greensboro.
Belmont Abbey won all six singles matches in straight sets and swept all three doubles matches to earn the point.

Tim Stemler,
Christian Winstead,
Andres Golindano and
Nicholas Cary accounted for all the points to earn the victory for the Crusaders.
With the results, the Crusaders are now 3-1 on the season. Mars Hill is now 0-2 while UNC Greensboro is 1-0.
