ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. -- Senior Patton Sims earned another podium spot in his illustrious career, placing third in the USA Cycling Collegiate Road National Championship road race.

The Sterlington, La., native covered the 105-km course (64.25 miles) in 2:21.25, 52 seconds off the lead and just two seconds out of second place.

Jonas Walton placed 12th with a time of 2:22:18., while Giovanni Vasta finished was 54th in 2:40:34.
