Riley D'Andrea scored seven goals with two assists and
Olivia Carlino added five goals, but Lander scored the final two goals of the game to take a back-and-forth affair 20-18 in women's lacross action Wednesday night. The teams had entered the fourth quarter tied at 13.
With the result, the Crusaders fall to 7-6 overall, while the Bearcats improve to 9-5.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- After trailing 10-6 at halftime, The Abbey stormed back with a 7-3 advantage in the third quarter, including the first five goals that gave the Crusaders their only lead of the contest, 11-10.
- Emma Pherson tallied two goals, while four other players each added one.
- Belmont Abbey outshot the Bearcats 37-34 overall and had just one fewer draw control (21-20).Â
- Summer Eddinger made seven saves in goal, but falls to 3-4 on the season.
