Carlino's Record-Setting Day Lifts Crusaders to Championship Game

WILSON, N.C. -- Olivia Carlino set a school record with 11 goals and added an assist for 12 points, leading No. 2 seed Belmont Abbey to a 21-8 victory over third-seeded North Greenville in the semifinals of the 2023 Conference Carolinas Women's Lacrosse Championship.

With records dating back to 2011, Carlino scored the most goals in a single game in program history while also matching Kylie Eastman's record for most points in a single game with 12. Eastman reached that mark on March 29, 2021 against Converse.

Additionally, Haley Adamo recorded her second career hat trick for the Crusaders while Summer Eddinger made seven saves in goal for The Abbey.

The win improves Belmont Abbey to 12-6 overall and a spot in the Conference Carolinas Championship game against Mount Olive Sunday in Wilson. The Trojans defeated host Barton 16-7 earlier in the day.

North Greenville closes its season at 10-7.
