BELMONT, N.C/YOUNG HARRIS, GA. – The Belmont Abbey men's tennis teams competed in a total of four matches over two different sites Saturday afternoon.
The Crusaders went 1-3 on the day by splitting a doubleheader with Young Harris (lost 4-0, won 4-3), falling to West Virginia Wesleyan at home (4-3) and to North Georgia in a neutral-site match (4-0).
Alex Turner won in both doubles and singles play in the second match of the doubleheader against Young Harris while
Renzo Fassioli did the same against West Virginia Wesleyan.
The results give Belmont Abbey a 9-10 overall record.
UP NEXT
- The Crusaders are scheduled to play four matches Monday at three different sites.
- Some members of the team will face Barry University at 11 a.m. in Savannah, Georgia.
- Others will face Edinboro at noon in a doubleheader at the Reidy Tennis Center while others will head on the road to face Johnson C. Smith at 2 p.m. in Charlotte.
