BELMONT, N.C. and HARROGATE, Tenn. – The Belmont Abbey men's tennis team went 2-1 on the opening Saturday of the spring season.
 
The Crusaders swept a doubleheader 4-3 and 7-0 against Pfeiffer at the Reidy Tennis Center while falling 6-1 to Carson-Newman in a match on a neutral site at Lincoln Memorial.
 
In the home matches, Alex Crabtree and Peyton Williams won both of their singles and doubles matches while Nicholas Cary won his singles match against Carson-Newman.
