BELMONT, N.C. – The Belmont Abbey wrestling team earned a victory in its first home dual match of the season by defeating Bluefield State 56-0 Wednesday evening at the Wheeler Center.
The match was highlighted by
Justin Crawford and
Mason Kump both earning pins while
Brett Balzan won his first collegiate bout at the 125-pound weight class.
Belmont Abbey is now 1-1 on the season following the victory while Wednesday marked the season opener for the Big Blue.
