BELMONT, N.C. – The Belmont Abbey wrestling team returned to action for its first home match in nearly two months with a South Atlantic Conference Carolinas match against UNC Pembroke Friday evening at the Wheeler Center.
The Crusaders earned victories in each of the first two bouts but it was the Braves who came away with the 34-9 victory.
Aaron Zebruaskas came away with a victory thanks to a technical fall in the third period while
Ben Fielding won via major decision.
The result moved to UNC Pembroke to 7-1 overall and 4-0 in the South Atlantic Conference Carolinas standings. Belmont Abbey is now 4-8 overall, 0-3 in the league.
