EMORY, VA. – The Belmont Abbey wrestling team earned its first win in South Atlantic Conference Carolinas action this season by defeating Emory & Henry 56-0 Thursday at the John Rutledge King Center.
The Crusaders capitalized on five pins and a pair of forfeits in the 10 countable matches. Belmont Abbey also earned a pin in the extra match.
Belmont Abbey improved to 5-8 overall and 1-3 in the SACC standings. Emory & Henry is now 2-16 overall, 0-4 in the league.
