BELMONT, N.C.— The Belmont Abbey wrestling team hosted Lander in a battle of two of the top teams in South Atlantic Conference Carolinas Saturday at the Wheeler Center. Four Crusaders ended up winning their respective bouts but it was Lander who came away with the 19-13 victory.

Nine seniors were honored prior to Saturday's meet including Tyler Gregor and Mitch Dean, who both won their bouts at 157 and 165 pounds, respectively, via decision. Tyler Pepe won his bout with a 4-1 decision over Randy Meyers in the 149-pound weight class while Justin Wright closed the match with a 9-0 major decision over Scotty Dean.

Belmont Abbey moved to 9-5 overall and 6-1 in league action while Lander is now 10-2, 8-0, respectively.
