SHIPPENSBURG, PA. – The Belmont Abbey wrestling team competed against three opponents as part of the Shippensburg Duals Saturday. The Crusaders were led by Mitch Dean, who won all three of his matches in the 165-pound weight class.

Dean's first victory came via a 5-2 decision over Milllersville's Brandon Connor. He followed that with a victory by a technical fall of over Mercyhurst's Mike Clark and a 9-7 decision over Gannon's Nick Young.

As a team, Belmont Abbey defeated Millersville 24-17 before Mercyhurst and Gannon defeated the Crusaders 30-14 and 31-12, respectively.

Brandon Crowder helped The Abbey get off to a good start with a victory via decision over Bryce Beatty. Logan Branham and Justin Wright helped seal the victory by earning pins in the final two bouts of the match to earn the victory.
