BELMONT, N.C. - Elliott Peterson earned a 6-0, 6-0 shutout as the Belmont Abbey women's tennis team wrapped up its regular season with a 6-1 victory over Barton.  BAC finishes the season with a 7-11 record, including 6-4 in conference play.  Barton finishes its season 8-6 overall, and 4-6 against conference opponents.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Belmont Abbey swept singles play, highlighted by Peterson's 6-0, 6-0 shutout at #3 singles
• Kayla Vaughan won a convincing 6-3, 6-0 match at #1 singles
• Carlie Davis, at #6 singles, also had solid performance, winning 6-1, 6-0.  The win was her sixth of the year
