Nelson Stafford won in both singles and doubles play, helping the Belmont Abbey men's tennis team to a 5-1 victory at Lees-McRae this afternoon. THe win puts The Abbey at 11-10 on the year, with a 5-1 Conference Carolinas record. The Bobcats are now 5-4 overall, and 3-4 in conference play.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Belmont Abbey won both doubles matches by scores of 7-6
- Stafford earned a convincing 6-3, 6-1 win at #2 singles
- Golindano was also solid, earning a 6-0, 6-2 win at #5 singles. He now holds an 8-5 singles record for the season
