BELMONT, N.C. -- Belmont Abbey Head Men's Cycling Coach welcomed three new members to the 2020-21 team this fall, gaining a talented group around all five disciplines. The three freshmen hail from Iowa, Michigan and North Carolina.

"This class is going to do great things for Belmont Abbey Cycling," Dalzell said. "Each rider possesses the ability to win a race on their own, but more importantly, they all demonstrate great teamwork abilities. Our program prides itself on teamwork and working together, all of these athletes bring that quality and much more. I'm beyond excited to see what we can accomplish in the 2020 season and for four years moving forward with this recruiting class".

Tyler Reynolds, a native of Pella, Iowa, comes to Belmont Abbey following a tremendous junior cycling career. As a member of the Above & Beyond Cancer team, he demonstrated strong racing abilities and teamwork skills. He will compete both on the track and the road, but also has experience in mountain bike and cyclocross.

Coach Dalzell Quote: "Tyler is a perfect fit for our program. He understands cycling at a high level while also being part of a team. We are excited to see how he develops on the track and look forward to great things from him on the road."

Giovanni Vasta comes from a strong junior background in the Carolinas and is the reigning Carolina Junior Road Race champion. He has been a part of the Unknown Racing Team for the past several years. Vasta specialized in road and track cycling.

Coach Dalzell Quote: "Gino is a great local cyclist.  We have been watching him in group rides and around town for the past three to four years. He brings both track and road success to our program. As a smaller guy, we are looking for Gino to really shine in road races for us this upcoming season. We can't wait to see what Gino does over his four-year career at the Abbey."

Braiden Voss, a native of Suttons Bay, Mich., comes to the Abbey from the Miller School of Albemarle and Hot Tubes Cycling Team. He brings a strong threshold ability and outstanding teamwork. Voss competes across all disciplines.

Coach Dalzell Quote: "Braiden is going to do amazing things for cycling at The Abbey. What makes Braiden such a strong fit here is not only his personal success on the bike, but more importantly his concept of teamwork.  As one of the top junior cyclists in the country, we are excited to watch him take our program to the next level. We are looking to see Braiden on the track, in the mountains and on the road for us this season"
