PEMBROKE, N.C. – The Belmont Abbey wrestling team opened their season against the UNC Pembroke Braves Tuesday in Pembroke. The Crusaders captured four bout victories led by Mitch Dean's pin. Tyler Pepe and Logan Branham both came away with decisions as Tyler Gregor earned a major decision. The Braves (1-0) took the match 26-16. The Abbey's (0-1) will next match will be Jan. 9 when they host King.
