ROCK HILL, S.C. -- Thunderstorms and heavy rain in the Charlotte area Friday evening forced the opening races of the first-ever Crusader Cycling Classic to be postponed. Teams had just finished warmups when lightning struck within 10 miles and rain fell.

Action picks up tomorrow morning at 9 a.m. at the Giordano Velodrome. Admission is free.
