Crusader Wrestling Wraps Up Regular Season at Emmanuel

FRANKLIN SPRINGS, Ga. – The Belmont Abbey wrestling team was edged by Emmanuel Saturday, despite a very competitive match. The Crusaders won five bouts during the dual with three decisions and two falls. The Abbey moves to 9-14 on the season and 1-6 in the ECAC.

Michael Bedard won his 12th bout of the season in the 125 weight class earning a 6-4 decision in the first match in the dual. Nick Lukanich followed with a 10-8 decision in the 133 weight class to record his fourth win of the year. Jonathan Charpenter registered his second pin of the season in the 141 class as the Crusaders took the first three bouts.

Emmanuel captured the next three bouts utilizing a fall, a decision, then a forfeit before the Abbey's Seth Bridgeman worked his fourth pin of the season in the 174 weight class.

After the Lions took the next two weight classes, Chaas Delgado produced a well-fought decision after going into the first sudden victory. The final score was 24-21 in favor of Emmanuel.

This match concluded the season for the Crusaders as they now await the regional selections.
