The Belmont Abbey men's tennis team recorded nine dominant
victories to earn its second win of the year with a 9-0 victory
over Spartanburg Methodist this afternoon at Sacred Heart
Courts.
The Abbey's number one doubles team of Conner McMann and Alex
Gradenwitz earned an easy 8-0 victory, as did the number three team
of Gabriel Trombini and Idris Moya. The number two doubles team of
Patrick Noelke and Tim Tanko won by an 8-1 score.
In the six singles matches, the Crusaders lost just five games
as four players won by 6-0 scores. McMann won at number one singles
by scores of 6-1, 6-0, while Gradenwitz posted a straight sets win
without dropping a game. Trombini won at number three by scores of
6-2, 6-3, and players four through six (Noelke, Tanko and Moya) all
won without dropping a game.
