BELMONT, N.C. -- Belmont Abbey hit .226 as a team with four players reaching at least six kills, leading the Crusaders to a 3-0 (25-22, 25-17, 25-18) win over Barton in Conference Carolinas women's volleyball action Friday night. With the win, The Abbey (12-11, 7-1) moves over .500 for the first time this season and improves its home record to 7-0.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The balanced attack did not produce anyone with double-figures kills. Mackenzie Chrapliwy led the way with nine, while Andie Meredith tallied eight. Carie Jane Valentine and Lanie Healey posted seven and six, respectively.
- Cassidy Bonito registered 29 assists, seven digs and four kills.
- Paige Rawlins had a pair of service aces and led the defensive effort with 19 digs.
- Chrapliwy and Hailey Ryan each added 13 digs.
