Women's Tennis Cruises to 6-1 Win Behind Davis' Shutout

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Carlie Davis earned her second shutout of the year, and the Belmont Abbey Women's Tennis team rolled to a 6-1 victory this afternoon at Johnson C. Smith.  The Crusaders move to 10-12 on the year, while JCSU dips to 11-9.

How it Happened

  • The Abbey swept doubles play.  Teagan McNamara and Talia Semaan got a 6-4 win at #1 doubles, their fifth straight win together
  • At #2 singles Davis got a 6-0, 6-0 shutout, her second this season
  • At #4 singles Erica Dorn won her seventh straight match, a 6-4, 7-5 win
  • Blair Boatright clinched the match for the Crusaders, winning her #5 singles match 6-1, 7-5.  She has now won four straight matches
