MOUNT OLIVE, N.C. - Morgan Farrar set up both goal scorers for the Belmont Abbey women's soccer team, who earned a 2-1 victory over number 3 seed Barton in a Conference Carolinas semifinal matchup. The win puts The Abbey at 12-4-3 on the season.
How it Happened
- Barton scored first, after a flurry of early shots, and led 1-0 at halftime
- In the second, it was the Crusaders taking the shots, corner kicks, and putting the pressure on the Bulldogs
- In the 62nd minute, Allyson Elliott tied the game at one, off a pass from Farrar
- Just six minutes later, Morgan Patton gave The Abbey the lead off a breakaway
- Farrar was the Crusaders' offensive leader, recording both assists on the night
- Lauryn Harding made seven saves in goal
