Crusader Women Compete in First-Ever Road Cycling Event

GREENVILLE, S.C. -- The Belmont Abbey women's cycling team made its competitive debut this weekend as it participated in the Hincapie Racing Series event in Greenville, S.C.

Cammie Robbiano took fourth place in the category 4/5 race, with teammates Stephanie Mlujeak and Siobhan Mahoney both competing in their first road races ever. In Sunday's criterium, Robbiano finished third.

"It was great to get the team out and racing as we build into our road season," Head Coach Derek Dalzell said. "This was the first-ever event for Belmont Abbey women's cycling and I am proud that we were all a part of history. We will continue to gain knowledge and experience throughout the year."
