The Belmont Abbey men's golf team wrapped up the 2015 fall season with a 20th place finish at the McDonough Cup, a 54 hole event hosted by Rollins College at the Rio Pinar Country Club in Orlando, Florida.
The field featured 22 of the top Division II schools in the country with 11 ranked in the top-25.
Belmont Abbey posted rounds of 294, 294 and 312 as the Crusaders had to finish its second round this morning after yesterday's afternoon round was halted due to darkness.
Sophomore Michael Mead led the Crusaders with scores of 71, 73 and 77 to finish tied for 64th. Cameron Buist, in just his second tournament of the fall and his first as a non individual player, carded rounds of 73, 74 and 79 as he ended up in a tie for 90th.
Nick Stafford ended up in a tie for 97th with scores of 76, 71 and 80, while freshman John Molyneaux carded scores of 74, 79, 77 to finish tied for 108th. Senior Tyler Satorius rounded out the lineup with scores of 76, 76 and 79 to end up tied for 110th.
The Crusaders are now off until February when the championship segment begins the first week of the month.
