Crusaders Compete at Coker

HARTSVILLE, S.C. - The Belmont Abbey Field Hockey team lost 6-0 at Coker tonight, moving their record to 6-8 overall, with a 5-3 conference record.  The Cobras improved to 9-6 on the season, and 6-5 in conference play.

How it Happened

  • The Crusaders went the first 12 minutes without giving up a goal
  • At halftime, Coker led 3-0
  • About four minutes into the third, Camrynn Aiello took the first Abbey shot of the night
  • Then the Crusaders took three shots in the final 3:15 of the game, but it was not enough, as Coker sealed the 6-0 victory
  • Paige Hinds made three saves in goal
