Belmont Abbey men's lacrosse coach Chris Barrett will work as a color commentator for the Men's Collegiate Lacrosse Association National Championships in Greenville, South Carolina from May 14-19.

Belmont Abbey junior men's golfer Adam Hedges closed with an eagle, a birdie and a par to total a 78 and finish in a tie for 19th in the final round of the 2012 NCAA South/Southeast Regional, which was hosted by Lenoir-Rhyne at the par 72 Rock Bottom Golf & Spa in Conover, North Carolina. His three day score of 220 did not allow him to advance to the NCAA National Championships in Louisville, Kentucky in two weeks.

Belmont Abbey women's volleyball head coach Mary DeJute has added three more players for the 2012 season. They are Joseyln Barker, a defensive specialist/libero from Smoky Mountain High School in Bryson City, North Carolina; Cameron Goodwin, a right-side/middle hitter from Westside High School in Augusta, Georgia; and Gabriella Rairan a middle hitter/right side from Delmar High School in Delmar, Delaware.

The Belmont Abbey Crusaders led by second year head coach Mike Lynch, are proud to announce three more additions to the recruiting class for the 2012 season.

Dustin Stewart improved on his 1500m Run School Record by over 7 seconds when he won the 2nd section of the event at Sunday evenings Duke Twilight Meet in Durham.  Stewart final time was 3:55.88, and earned him a 9th place overall finish in the event which included many Post-collegiate runners and Division athletes, a total of 32 runners.  He was the 1st Non-Division athlete in the event.  His previous school record was 4:02.98 set at NC State the last weekend of March.

Belmont Abbey men's volleyball head coach Mary DeJute announced the signing of three additional recruits for 2013. Current high school senior Derek Sullivan (Midlothian, VA), transfer Eddie Pennington (Denver, CO), and transfer Brandon Kimbrell (Escondido, CA) have signed with the Crusaders for their inaugural season.

The Belmont Abbey softball team  hosted a free community engagement clinic on Saturday, April 28 with over 40 children taking part. The team worked directly with the youngsters at every station, and afterwards, the Crusaders signed autographs and posed for pictures with their wide-eyed pupils. The clinic was offered to girls ages 6-14.
