First year head cross country coach Bill Hodge has announced that 14 new men and women cross country recruits have committed to running at Belmont Abbey College for the 2010 Cross Country season.

146 Belmont Abbey student-athletes were named to the Conference Carolinas Spring Presidential Honor Roll. Each institution within the conference has emphasized their commitment to academic importance as they have continued to have student-athletes achieve a grade point average of 3.0 or higher (on a 4.0 scale) at each of their institutions to achieve this honor.

Belmont Abbey head men's and women's golf coach Jim Haughey has stepped down from his position, effective immediately. A national search for the position will begin immediately. Haughey guided the women's program from its inception in 2005 and took over the men's program in September, 2006, quickly moving both programs to national prominence at the Division II level.

Belmont Abbey College today announced the appointment of Quin Monahan as athletic director, effective July 15. Monahan most recently served as athletic director at Savannah College of Art and Design, which has campuses in Savannah and Atlanta, Georgia, and an enrollment of over 9,500 students.

The Crusader Volleyball Training Academy is a day camp conducted by the coaching staff of Belmont Abbey College on campus or at a community facility. This day camp is designed to instruct players in individual skills and team play.
