Davis, Crusaders Shut Out King

BRISTOL, Tenn. - Carlie Davis earned an 8-0 shutout, and the Belmont Abbey women's tennis earned a 7-0 shutout at King University this afternoon.  The Crusaders now stand at 7-10 on the season, and 4-2 against Conference Carolinas opponents.  The Tornado dipped to 1-11 on the year, and 0-6 in conference play.

How it Happened

  • Darian DeFrench and Teagan McNamara paired up for a 6-2 win at #1 singles, to move to 4-1 on the year together
  • Erica Dorn and Laura Seib earned an 8-0 shutout at #2 singles
  • McNamara made quick work of her opponent at #1 singles, getting a 6-1, 6-1 victory
  • Davis earned an 8-0 shutout at #4 singles
  • Blair Boatright also had a quick victory at #5 singles, winning 6-0, 6-1
