Erika Noblett Earns Shutout in 5-4 Senior Day Win

BELMONT, N.C. - Erika Noblett had a huge senior day, earning a 6-0, 6-0 shutout at #1 singles, and the Belmont Abbey women's tennis team earned a 5-4 win over Mount Olive.  With the win, the Crusaders improve to 8-10 on the year, with 4-2 Conference Carolinas record.  The Trojans are now 4-8 overall, and 3-3 in conference play.

Noblett paired up with Morgan Zahnd to get The Abbey its first win of the day with an 8-1 at #3 doubles.

In singles play, Riley Ellingson, playing at #3, saved two set points in her first set to come back and earn a 7-6, 6-0 victory.  Morgan Nguyen won a convincing 6-4, 6-1 match at #4.  Then Alex Weber got a 6-2, 6-0 victory at #5.  Noblett, with her shutout victory, clinched the match for the Abbey.  Noblett now holds a 5-1 record against Conference Carolinas opponents.

Belmont Abbey will visit North Greenville University Friday, April 6.
