
HILTON HEAD, S.C. - Senior Alex Weber earned a convincing 6-1, 6-1 win in her first match playing at #3 singles and the women's tennis team earned a 7-2 victory over Kutztown University this afternoon. With the win, The Abbey improves to 5-7 on the year. Kutztown is now 1-5.
The day started out very well for the Crusaders who earned victories at #1 and #3 doubles to take a 2-1 lead heading into singles play.
At #2 singles, Riley Ellingson got her second shutout of the year. Weber and Erika Noblett also had convincing wins at #3 and #4 singles. Then Emily Heim, at #6, also earned her second shutout of the season.
Belmont Abbey will finish its Spring trip tomorrow with a match against West Liberty University.
