Abbey Wins Two of Three Doubles Matches, Jandyala Wins at #1 Singles

BELMONT, NC - The Belmont Abbey women's tennis team dropped a 6-3 contest this afternoon to the North Greenville Crusaders, by a score of 6-3.  It was the team's Raise the Red match.  The Abbey dipped to 8-12 on the year, with a 2-5 record in conference play.  North Greenville improved to 8-9 on the season and 7-3 in Conference Carolinas play.

The Abbey started the day off strong, winning two of the three doubles matches.  Aisiri Jandyala and Teagan McNamara won at the #1 spot by a score of 8-3.  Erika Noblett and Morgan Zahnd won at #3 8-7.

Things looked promising early in singles play as Jandyala won her #1 singles battle fairly quickly 6-1, 7-5.  McNamara, at #2 singles, forced a tiebreaker.  NGU went on to win 6-3.
