Women's Tennis Falls to Lenoir-Rhyne, 6-3

BELMONT, NC- The Belmont Abbey Women's Tennis fell to Lenoir-Rhyne University, 6-3, Saturday afternoon at the Michael Reidy Tennis Center on the campus of Belmont Abbey College. The Crusaders are now 1-4 overall while the Bears evens their record to 3-3.

The Abbey won three of six singles' matches. At #1 singles, freshman Teagan McNamara defeated Dominique Bruce 7-5, 6-3. The Crusdaers for the first time this spring claim singles' victories at the #5 and #6 flights. Sophomore Alex Weber earned a straight set 6-3, 6-3 victory over Taylor Fredrickson, while freshman Rachele Subik downed Jessica Rumple, 6-1, 6-3.

The Crusaders return to action on Friday, February 26 for a Carolinas Conference match at Mount Olive. First serve is set for 2:00PM in Mount Olive, NC.
