BELMONT, N.C. - The Belmont Abbey women's soccer team dropped a 1-0 decision to North Greenville this afternoon in what proved to be a very defensive battle. With the loss, The Abbey moves to 9-2 on the season, with a 5-2 conference mark. North Greenville is now 8-4 overall, and 6-2 against Conference Carolinas opponents.

- North Greenville scored in the fifth minute of the contest, but The Abbey defense shut NGU out the rest of the way
- The Belmont Abbey defensive unit, led by senior Rachel Coutinho, held North Greenville to 10 shots on the day, four on goal

- The Abbey took 11 corner kicks in the match
