Men's Cross Country Places 29th At Sand Shark Invitational

The Belmont Abbey men's cross country team placed 29th out of 30 teams this morning at the Sand Shark Invitational, which was hosted by USC Beaufort in Hardeeville, South Carolina.

Today's race was 8,000 kilometers and for the fourth-straight race, freshman Jonah Wilamowski was the top Crusader finisher, clocking a time of 27:12 to finish 95th.

David Iverson finished second with a personal best time of 28:22. His mark was good for 132nd. Ryan Caulley came across the line in 28:46 to finish 149th.

Freshman Patrick Lester raced to a 158th place finish with a time of 28:56. The final two Crusader finishers were Joe Thierfelder (30:23-197th) and EJ Cerdeiras (32:22-215th).

The Crusaders will now be off until the Conference Carolinas Championships, which will be hosted by Belmont Abbey College on November 7 at Frank Liske Park in Concord, NC.
