Men's Soccer Defeats NGU 3-1

BELMONT, N.C. – The Belmont Abbey men's soccer team scored three goals to top North Greenville on a soggy pitch Wednesday afternoon. The Abbey improves to 5-4-2 on the year with a 4-1-2 Conference Carolinas record.

How It Happened

  • James Delaney scored his second goal of the season in the 41st minute to put Belmont Abbey ahead.
  • North Greenville's Rolando Macias scored in the 43rd minute to tie the game at one.
  • The Abbey's Adam Lindskog headed a pass from Nando Morales into the back of the net in the 59th minute to reclaim the lead.
  • Morales scored off a cross from Lindskog in the 68th minute to seal the win.
  • Both keepers, Abbey's Evan Morrow, and NHU's Noah Kendrick recorded six saves in the contest.

Belmont Abbey will host Lees-McRae Saturday at 3:30 pm.
