BRISTOL. TENN. – The Belmont Abbey men's soccer team captured their third Conference Carolinas victory as they defeated King University 2-1 in Bristol. The Crusaders (3-4, 3-1) benefited from goals by Hunter Gregory and Grant Retamar.

How it Happened

  • Hunter Gregory scored on a penalty kick in the 20th minute.
  • Grant Retamar scored off a pass from Geinner Duque in the 74th minute.
  • King scored in the 86th minute when Sam Corredor found the back of the net.
  • The Crusaders outshot the Tornado 17-10
  • Abbey keeper Ben Knust recorded two saves in the match.
  • Tornado keeper Dalton Gammon managed nine saves.

Belmont Abbey will host Southern Wesleyan Saturday at 3 pm on Homecoming at Alumni Field.
