Crusaders Compete Against Coker in Hartsville

HARTSVILLE, S.C. – The Belmont Abbey men's soccer team held the Coker Cobras scoreless through 60 minutes but were not able to keep them off the scoreboard as Coker defeated the Crusaders 2-0. Belmont Abbey is now 0-2 on the season as Coker earned their first win of the season.

  • Coker's Christian Provenzano scored the game's first goal in the 62nd minute.
  • Coker's Joao Silva scored in the 74th minute off an assist from Provenzano.
  • Crusader keeper Evan Morrow registered four saves.
  • Cobra keeper Zach Watson recorded five saves.
  • George Espina led the Crusaders with two shots.
  • Belmont Abbey outshot the Cobras 14-12.
  • Coker took eight corner kicks, one more than Belmont Abbey.
  • Both clubs had 11 fouls each.
