Men's Soccer Battles in Road Game

DUE WEST, S.C. – The Belmont Abbey men's soccer team participated in a conference road match against Erskine Saturday. The Flying Fleet won the match 2-0 improving their record to 6-4 with a 4-1 conference record. The Crusaders record is now 2-7-2 and 1-5 in conference play.

Majority of the first half was evenly matched as the Crusaders sent six shots at the Erskine keeper. Erskine was able to squeak a goal in before the intermission as Daniel Jonna scored in the 44th minute.

Jonna later scored his second goal of the game in the 85th minute for the Flying Fleet.

Nando Morales led the Crusaders with three shots.

The Crusaders next match will be against North Greenville Wednesday at Alumni Field. That game will begin at 3:30 p.m.
