MONROE, N.C. – Nick Stafford finished second in the Hargett Memorial Invitational at the Monroe Country Club. Stafford shot a 72 and 66 to card a -6/138, one shot behind the winner Jarett Stowe of Wingate.
Belmont Abbey had two teams participate in the tournament finishing in second and sixth position. The Crusaders shot a 580, eight shots behind the winner Lenoir-Rhyne (572), and a 594.
Levi Kettelhut recorded a top-five finish, tying for fourth with a 142. Michael Mead tied for 17th with a 148 and Brody Davis, Sean Miller, and Madison Duffie all shot a 149, tying for 19th. John Molyneaux tied for 24th with his 150. Chris Kopack and Maurizio DeBono both carded a 154 for 32nd place and Landon Isaacs' 162 gave him 50th place.
The tournament wrapped up after 36 holes due to inclement weather.
The Crusaders will be back on the course March 26 at the Bearcat Invitational in Greenwood, S.C.
