Stafford Leads at the Southern Tide Invitational

Nick Stafford is tied for first after the first two rounds of the Southern Tide Invitational in Greenville, S.C. The Belmont Abbey men's golf team sits in sixth place, after a first round 305 the Crusaders bounced back with a 290 to sit 19 strokes behind the leader Limestone (572).

Stafford's first round of 72 positioned him tied for third which he backed up with a 69, landing him -3 after the first day, sitting tied atop the leaderboard.

Levi Kettrelhut shot a 77 and 72 for a +5 (149) and share of 25th place. Chris Kopack sits at +6 with two rounds of 75, good enough for a tie at 32nd.

John Molyneaux combined a first round 83 with a second round 74 to be tied for 65th and Maurizio DeBono is in 70th place with a +14 – 158.

Round two of the Southern Tide Invitational begins tomorrow at 9 a.m.

At the Richard Rendleman Invitational in Salisbury, Brody Davis is tied for 12th after carding a 74. Michael Mead is tied for 17th with his 75 and Sean Miller holds a tie for 39th after a round of 79. Madison Duffie sits tied for 54th with an 80 as Landon Isaacs' 82 has him tied for 54th. Zane Galloway, tied for 72nd, is one stroke above Trevor Huffman (86). Jamie Mayberry has a 99 in 88th position.

Round two of the Richard Rendleman Invitational begins tomorrow at 9:15 a.m.
