FLEMING ISLAND, FL. – The Belmont Abbey men's golf team almost finished the first two rounds of the Lincoln Memorial Invite before darkness forced a premature end. The Crusaders, as well as the rest of the field, were forced to stop three holes short from finishing the second round, which they will compete tomorrow morning. As of the end of play Monday, Belmont Abbey sits in 13th place with a total score of 439 after 27 holes, three over par. The leader, Lander, shot a 478 through 36 holes.
Due to the scoring only being reported nine holes at a time, through the first nine holes of round two, Kettelhut has managed three birdies to hold on to a -2. Miller and Kopack each are +2 with Stafford at +1. Molyneaux has shot a +3 all with nine holes remaining.
The Crusaders will finish their second round tomorrow morning at 8:30 a.m. followed immediately by their third round.
