Men's Basketball Downed By King, 104-64

The Belmont Abbey men's basketball team lost to the visiting King Tornado 104-64 this afternoon insde the Wheeler Center in a Conference Carolinas matchup. King improves to 22-5 overall and 16-3 in Conference Carolinas, while the Abbey falls to 2-25 overall and 1-18 in league play.

Belmont Abbey will close the 2014-15 season Tuesday night when it welcomes Pfeiffer to the Wheeler Center for a 7:30 contest.

King never trailed as it built a 60-26 halftime lead on the strength of 62 percent shooting from the field. The Tornado converted more three point field goals (11) than two point shots (9) as the visitors shot 55 percent from three point range.

The second half was more closely contested as King outscored the Abbey 44-38 but the Tornado's lead was never in doubt.

Belmont Abbey freshman forward Deion Lane led the Crusaders with 16 points, while Ray Chen and Drexler Clark each added 11.
