Baker Leads Crusaders to Win Over Tusculum

BELMONT, N.C. – The Belmont Abbey baseball team took game one from the Tusculum Pioneers 5-3 Friday at Abbey Yard. Griffin Baker went seven strong innings with eight strikeouts and only one earned a run. Ben Sneider led the offense with two hits including an RBI triple.

Highlights

The Abbey collected nine hits in the game.

Ben Gobbel recorded an RBI single in the fourth.

Sneider's RBI triple came in the sixth inning scoring Mason Dodd.

Collin Andres roped an RBI single in the eighth.

Parker MacPhail earned his first save of the year pitching two innings and striking out four.
