Yoder Named COSIDA Academic All-District

BELMONT, N.C. – Thomas Yoder has been named to the Google Cloud Academic All-District Baseball Team announced by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) today.

Yoder was Belmont Abbey's nomination for the Conference Carolinas Murphy-Osborne Award which is reserved for the top senior. The senior was named to the all-tournament team in Conference Carolinas baseball championship. The Cary, N.C. native, led the team in home runs, was second in RBIs and fifth in runs. Yoder recorded 12 multiple hit games this season, including three hits on five occasions. The catcher drove at least two runs 15 times and had a career-best five RBIs vs. King in the league tournament.

 The 2018 Google Cloud Academic All-District Baseball Team, selected by CoSIDA, recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. First-team Academic All-District honorees advance to the Google Cloud Academic All-America ballot, with first- and second-team Academic All-America honorees to be announced in June.
