Men's Volleyball Concludes Inaugural Season With 3-0 Loss To Lees-McRae In Quarterfinal Round Of Conference Carolinas Tournament
The sixth-seeded Belmont Abbey men's volleyball team was eliminated from the 2013 Conference Carolinas Tournament with a 3-0 loss at the third-seeded Lees-McRae Bobcats this evening. Men's Volleyball Clinches Final Spot In Conference Carolinas Tournament With 3-0 Sweep Of Coker In Regular Season Finale
The Belmont Abbey men's volleyball team clinched the final spot in the six-team Conference Carolinas Tournament as it swept Coker 3-0 and gained entry as Lees-McRae swept King to give the Crusaders the final spot. Belmont Abbey defeated Coker by scores of 25-15, 25-16 and 25-13. The Crusaders improve to 11-19 overall and 5-11 in Conference Carolinas, while Coker ends its season and departs Conference Carolinas with an overall record of 6-15 and a 4-12 league mark. Coker will join the South Atlantic Conference next season.... (more)
Men's Volleyball Falls In Five To Erskine, 3-2
The Belmont Abbey men's volleyball team won the first two sets to take what appeared to be a commanding lead, but the Erskine Flying Fleet won the last three sets to record a come from behind win and claim a 3-2 Conference Carolinas victory. Set scores from the Wheeler Center were 17-25, 22-25, 26-24, 25-20 and 15-8. Erskine moves above .500 to go to 13-12 overall and 9-6 in Conference Carolinas, while the Abbey drops to 10-19 overall and 4-11 in Conference Carolinas.... (more)
