Men's Lacrosse Edged By Top-Seeded Limestone 10-9 In Conference Carolinas Championship Game

Trailing 9-5 going to the fourth quarter, the Belmont Abbey men's lacrosse team outscored Limestone 4-1 in the final 15 minutes, but could never get the equalizer as the top-seeded Saints won the Conference Carolinas Championship with a 10-9 win this afternoon at the Queens Sports Complex. Limestone moves to 11-1, while the Abbey ends its season with a mark of 7-6.... (more)

Men's Lacrosse Stuns Queens In Final Seconds, 11-10, To Advance To Conference Tournament Championship Game

The third-seeded Belmont Abbey men's lacrosse team scored two goals in the final eight seconds, with junior Matt Spivey scoring the game winner with one second left, to propel the Crusaders past the second-seeded Queens University Royals and into Sunday's Conference Tournament Final with an 11-10 win this afternoon at the Queens Sports Complex. The Abbey moves to 6-5, while the Royals end their season with a mark of 9-4.... (more)

Six Crusaders Named All-Conference; Morrissey Billed Freshman Of The Year

Six Belmont Abbey men's lacrosse players were selected to the all-Conference Carolinas teams, and freshman Dan Morrissey was tabbed as the Freshman of the Year in a vote of the league's head coaches. Midfielder Dave DiLuigi and defender Tristan Keas were named to the first team, while defender Damon DeLuca and goalkeeper Tony Kikola were selected to the second team.
