Seth Lowther

Seth Lowther begins his second year as an assistant coach at Belmont Abbey College.

Lowther, a four-year goalkeeper for the Crusaders from 2004-07, will assist in recruiting, office administration and will work with the goalkeepers.

In his first year as goalkeeper coach, Lowther guided a unit that posted the lowest team goals against average in three seasons at 1.03, while mentoring first-team all-conference selection Bryan Alenky, who was among the Conference leaders in goals against average, shutouts and shutouts per game. Alenky would post eight shutouts.

In his four year career in the Crusader net, Lowther appeared in 32 matches and posted a goals against average of 1.15 with four shutouts. His best year came as a junior, when he earned honorable mention all-conference honors after collecting 40 saves with four shutouts. His 1.09 goals against average were 43rd in the final NCAA statistics.

Lowther graduated from the Abbey in 2008.
