The Belmont Abbey softball team put the finishing touches on the 2011 regular season with a doubleheader sweep at Johnson C. Smith. The Abbey won game one 12-3 and claimed a 17-8 win in game two.
The Crusaders enter Friday's Conference Carolinas Tournament with a record of 16-26. Johnson C. Smith is now 8-29.
Belmont Abbey, seeded seventh, will open the Conference Carolinas Tournament Friday at noon as it takes on the second seeded Erskine Flying Fleet. The Tournament will take place in Hartsville, South Carolina with Coker College serving as the hosts.
