Belmont Abbey golfer Adam Hedges fired an even par 72 to vault from fifth into a tie for second to lead the Crusaders men's golf team to a tie for eleventh at the Bearcat Golf Classic, which was staged at the par 72 Greenwood Country Club in Greenwood, South Carolina and hosted by Lander University.

Hedges, who leads NCAA Division II in scoring average, began the day alone in fifth with a 36-hole score of 140 (-4) trailing fourth place by one shot and second place by two strokes. Hedges closed today with an even par 72, backed up by rounds of 73 and 67 (the lowest of his career) to finish in a tie for second, three shots back of winner Joel Dahlenburg of Flagler. He tied with Jon Weiss of Newberry.

Arnor Finnbjornsson carded a score of 75 in all three rounds as he finished in a tie for 28th. He began the day in a tie for 32nd. Cameron Mitro began the day in a tie for 67th with scores of 81 and 75, but his one over 73 today vaulted him into a tie for 42nd.

Matthew Foster began today in a tie for 67th with scores of 80 and 76. He rallied with a 75 today to end up in a tie for 56th. Taylor Inouye was alone in 90th with rounds of 89 and 77, and his 77 today moved him into sole possession of 86th.
