Women's Lacrosse Upends Presbyerian 12-11 In Scrimmage

Elyse Mohn Scored Four Goals On Seven Shots

The Belmont Abbey women's lacrosse team capped off its preseason scrimmage season with a 12-11 win at Presbyterian Sunday afternoon. The Abbey finished the preseason 3-0, with wins over Guiford, Anne Arundel Community College and Presbyterian.

Junior midfielder Elyse Mohn led the Crusaders with four goals, while Lindsay Connolly and Laura Dowd both had two each. Emily Hudgins, Katy Connery, Molly Schaefer and Megan Patton all had one. Connolly, Hudgins, Mohn and Gina Colella all had one assist. Dowd also finished with seven draw control wins and three ground balls. Both teams won 12 draw controls and scooped up 22 grund balls each.

Defensively, Tory Morgan made six saves. Dowd caused a team-high three turnovers as the Abbey finished with 18.
