Goalkeeper Louis Liberatore Made Eight Saves

Lees-McRae scored two second half goals to secure a 2-0 win over Belmont Abbey this evening in Banner Elk. The win propels the Bobcats record to 8-3-1 overall and 5-1-0 in Conference Carolinas, while the Abbey drops to 5-6-1 overall and 3-3-0 in Conference Carolinas.

After a scoreless first half, Lees-McRae got on the board in the 52nd minute as James Galvani scored the first of his two goals on a header off of a free kick from Luke Duffy.

11 minutes later, Galvani extended the lead with a 20 yard blast from the left side of the box to close the scoring.

Lees-McRae outshot the Crusaders 20-8 and held a 5-4 edge in corner kicks. Abbey goalkeeper Louis Liberatore made eight saves.
