Women's Lacrosse Takes Third-Straight With 14-11 Win At Presbyterian

Senior Attack Brianna Dignan Scored Four Goals And Handed Out One Assist

Belmont Abbey senior Brianna Dignan and junior Kristyn Kinsey both scored four goals as the Crusaders women's lacrosse team earned its third-straight win with a 14-11 victory at Presbyterian this afternoon. The Abbey trailed 6-5 at the half and outscored the Blue Hose 9-5 in the second half, including five unanswered goals to close the game. Belmont Abbey moves to 7-8, while Presbyterian drops to 2-11.

Along with Dignan and Kinsey, Laurie Jordan added three goals, while Emily Hudgins, Tara Chmil and Elyse Mohn all scored one goal. Lindsay Connolly, Meghan McSherry, Dignan, Hudgins, Jordan and Kinsey all handed out one assist.

Rebecca Diggs, Jordan and Connolly led the Abbey with two caused turnovers each. Jordan's seven ground balls led all players, while Natalie Crenshaw and Chmil both had five. Crenshaw made nine saves in the cage, including six in the final half.

The Abbey outshot Presbyterian 40-23 and held a 31-27 advantage in ground balls.
